SAISONIC uses a thermoplastic mold machine to over mold assemblies and shape tens of thousands of cables. According to the customer's requirements and specifications, custom tools (referred to as "molds") are made by the customer or our cable mold manufacturer. These cable molds consist of aluminum blocks and detachable or adjustable steel inserts. Through these blocks, specific cable molds with different configurations can be achieved. In some cases, our cable molds can achieve up to 10 different cable component combinations by replacing the inserts, changing their orientation, or reinstallation. This approach is often used when the customer requires the same cable mold to be applicable for right-angle connectors, single-sided right-angle connectors, or up-down direction connectors. Some of the commonly molded connectors, such as M12 connectors, can also have multiple key position configurations. Customers can customize the cable forming structure according to specific application requirements to ensure that the key positions are fully matched with actual usage.

Cable Overmolding
Our pneumatic molding machines have 2 ton clamping force, a timed process for injection (controllable temperature and pressure/psi settings), as well as cooling and ejector pins. Most common applications are tailored connector overmolds and backshells, PCBA encapsulation for environmental protection, and grommets. We have created specialized USB applications, LED encapsulation, and “Y” breakouts which serve to create an extremely professional and rugged alternative to scenarios which otherwise may use a heatshrink style solution.
